These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Spendwork. (“Spendwork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the Spendwork.com website, services, and related systems (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing, registering for, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
1. Overview of the Platform
Spendwork.com is an online freelance marketplace enabling independent professionals (“Freelancers”) to offer services to individuals and businesses (“Clients”). The Platform facilitates interactions but does not supervise, control, or guarantee any Freelancer’s work, qualifications, or performance.
Spendwork serves solely as a digital intermediary and is not party to any agreement between Users.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Age Requirement
Users must be 18 years or older to use the Platform.
2.2 Registration Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information during registration and throughout your use of the Platform. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

2.4 Account Integrity
Creation of multiple or fraudulent accounts is strictly prohibited. Spendwork may merge, restrict, suspend, or terminate duplicated or suspicious accounts.
3. KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification Requirement
To ensure platform integrity, reduce fraud, and protect all Users, Spendwork requires identity verification from Freelancers.
3.1 Mandatory Verification
Upon subscribing to any paid plan or free plan, Freelancers must complete our KYC verification by submitting:
- A valid government-issued ID,
- Or, for businesses: a business registration certificate,
- Bank account details necessary for identity verification and fraud prevention.
3.2 Verification Discretion
Spendwork reserves the right to:
- Approve or reject any submitted document,
- Request additional documentation,
- Suspend or limit Platform access until verification is fully completed,
- Terminate accounts using fraudulent, altered, or invalid documents.
3.3 False Information
Providing false information constitutes grounds for immediate termination.
4. Membership Plans and Fees
4.1 Free Plan (Introductory Offer)
Spendwork only provides Free Plan to users who gets verified through the KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification Requirement.
4.2 Individual Membership
- Monthly plan
- Annual plan
4.3 Business Membership
- Monthly plan
- Annual plan
4.4 Grace Period
Upon expiration of a paid plan, Freelancers receive a 10-day grace period to renew. During this period, reminders will be sent via email.
After expiration:
- Listings and profiles become hidden,
- Platform features may be restricted until renewal.
4.5 Fee Changes
Spendwork may modify pricing (includes tax), introduce new plans, or update fees at any time with notice posted on the Platform.
5. Use of the Platform
5.1 Freelancer Listings
Freelancers may create listings with clear descriptions, pricing tiers, and optional add-on services. Misrepresentation of services is strictly prohibited. Freelancers are solely responsible for including GST and any other applicable taxes in their service pricing, and Spendwork is not liable for any tax-related matters.
5.2 Bidding and Offers
Freelancers may bid on projects, send custom offers, and negotiate terms, contact clients directly. All services must be delivered professionally and as described.
5.3 Client Responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate project details and timely compensation as agreed.
6. Payments & Transactions
6.1 Payment Processing
All payments must be processed through Spendwork’s approved payment gateway. Users must ensure their payment details are up to date.
6.2 Commission-Free Model
Freelancers retain 100% of their earnings. Spendwork may introduce optional service fees or premium features in the future.
6.3 Refunds
Spendwork does not guarantee refunds for dissatisfaction, disputes, or service outcomes, as we do not control Freelancer performance.
7. Dispute Resolution
7.1 User-to-User Resolution
Spendwork is not responsible to settles disputes between freelancer and clients.
7.2 Platform Assistance
If needed, Users may contact support@spendwork.com. Spendwork may assist at its discretion but is not obligated to mediate disputes or enforce agreements.
Spendwork’s decisions regarding Platform-related issues are final.
8. Verified Freelancer Badge
Freelancers who complete verification may receive a “Verified Freelancer” badge. This badge does not guarantee competence or service quality. Spendwork may revoke this badge at any time.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Engage in fraud, impersonation, or misrepresentation
- Upload unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringing content
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Create fake projects, fake reviews, or fake accounts
- Harass, threaten, or abuse any User
- Upload viruses or harmful code
- Attempt to bypass Spendwork’s systems, policies, or fees
Spendwork reserves the right to remove content or restrict accounts for violations.
10. Intellectual Property
- Spendwork’s branding, design, and content are the exclusive property of Spendwork.
- Users may not copy, modify, or exploit Platform materials without permission.
- By uploading content, Users grant Spendwork a royalty-free, global license to display such content for operational and marketing purposes.
11. Account Suspension & Termination
11.1 By Spendwork
Spendwork may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts without prior notice for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent activity
- Failure to complete KYC
- Payment issues
- Abuse or misuse of the Platform
Spendwork is not required to provide justification.
11.2 By User
Users may deactivate their accounts by contacting support.
Termination does not entitle the User to refunds.
12. Limitation of Liability
Spendwork is not liable for:
- Losses or damages arising from Freelancer or Client interactions
- Service quality, performance, or delivery
- Payments handled outside our platform
- Data loss or unauthorized access
- Business interruption or financial loss
Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.
13. Privacy Policy
Use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference into these Terms.
14. Modification of Terms
Spendwork may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Maldivian courts.
